An ultra chic and highly coveted Christian Dior custom demi couture museum-quality ivory and metallic silver floral motif silk brocade gown dating back to fall/winter 1962. This incredible work of wearable art was a custom made commission while Marc Bohan was creative director at Dior. Garments with this Christian Dior Paris boutique label are couture made for clients who could not travel for multiple fittings. We were thrilled to find French editorials showcasing very similar creations from the same year. Our gown is fashioned in a luxurious mid-weight ecru ivory silk-brocade with the most stunning silver floral motif. The bodice has an intricate boned bustier structure to keep the dress perfectly in place. My favorite design element is the duel-bow trimmed attached cape backside. It really looks sensational with movement. In 2018, Assouline published a book by Jerome Hanover, 'Bohan’s Dior: 1961 to 1989.' where he explains, "you see Bohan everywhere. You see his work in Prada, Raf Simons, Hermès. I think it will help fashion to remember that Marc Bohan really designed the ’60s.” This important piece of fashion history would make an unforgettable red carpet or bridal look.

Format: Kindle
This comic is just... wow. There just isn't anything bad about it except that the rest of the series is hard to find on Amazon. For now at least...

Solid "Star Wars"-ing.
Format: Paperback
“Star Wars: The Battle of Jakku” is a three-part, 12-issue comic series, comprised of a trio of individual miniseries that form one collective trilogy-of-sorts, and details the war between New Republic/Imperial forces in the weeks and months following the events of “Return of the Jedi.” Writer Alex Segura – who previously penned the underrated "Free Fall" – does a good job of telling a single, satisfying story that ALSO tees up his upcoming relaunch of the mainline “Star Wars” series in May. What also makes “The Battle of Jakku” a pleasure to read – particularly if you’re a diehard “Star Wars” fan - are the various Easter eggs and cross-franchise connections it makes to other entries in the series, including “Battlefront II,” Greg Rucka’s "Shattered Empire," and even Chuck Wendig's “Aftermath” trilogy. Watching this specific era of the “Star Wars” timeline be filled out and expanded within the larger media has been one of the more satisfying and consistently enjoyable aspects of the “Star Wars” property these last 10 years, and Segura – as is his want – does yeoman’s work in effectively putting a final bow on it. All in all, pretty darn good “Star Wars”-ing.
